Come on Sony – Where are the iSync Plugins?
In my constant search for work phones that do what I want them to do (my personal phone will be an iPhone so can’t carry 2) I’ve been provided a Sony Ericsson K850i, which is an 850MHz (“Next G”) supporting phone with a 5 megapixel camera.
Again I faced the issue that there isn’t a freely available iSync plugin for the phone (go here if you want to pay for one) so I made my own.
I’ve used the Mac Developer Tools this time so fully tested and working with both Bluetooth and USB connections for syncing. I haven’t tested using it as a modem as I don’t have a data plan on it for work, so therefore I’ll mark this release as BETA. If you use it and it works, please post a comment to let me know.
Due to the dev tools, it also comes now in a auto installer. Make sure you run the Bluetooth Wizard again to ensure the new driver is loaded, or you won’t get the option to add it to iSync.
Regards,
Shane.

Does this work for windows computers?
Hi,did you develope this plugin for iSync 2 or iSync 3?
Works absolutely perfect! Better than all other plugins for the 850i U can download on the net. Number 1. Thanks!
Hi, I have just installed (formatted hard drive) Snow Leopard and needed to get a new plugin for my phone. This is great! Have only run the initial sync but all went well. Filled my address book and calendar for me too. This is so much better than the old plugin I had, I had to put the file in the manually, this was all automatic! Just like a bought one!! 🙂
